Bio

I teach computer science the way I wish I had been taught: with real data, moving pictures, and answers you can check.

I have qualified GATE seven times and UGC-NET five times. Somewhere along the way I noticed that students forget formulas, but they remember what they have seen. So every lecture I make starts from a real dataset and a picture, and every number on screen is computed and verified before it reaches you.

By day I teach in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at GCET Kashmir, where I joined as Assistant Professor after ranking first in the JKPSC selection. Before that I taught at NIT Srinagar.

My PhD at NIT Srinagar was on graph neural networks, and in particular on over-smoothing and over-squashing: the two reasons deep GNNs lose the information they are meant to pass along. That work, OOF-SAGE, and its follow-ups appear in journals with impact factors up to 13.6.
